A STUDY ON THE ATTITUDES OF RURAL AND URBAN DWELLERS ON FAMILY PLANNING

Abstract
|
|
|
The present study was aimed at providing the underlying data for family planning education by investigating the attitudes of inhabitants of rural and urban areas on family planning. The results are as follows;
1. The preference for sons among rural wives was higher than that of urban wives.
2. The recognition of region¢¥s health center and family planning worker was significantly different between regions (p<0.000).
3. The first source of family planning information was mass media among all wives of the study.
4. Urban inhabitants were more in agreement than rural inhabitants about family planning. 5. Sexism was the most disturbing factor in family planning.
